Copper is approximately 2 years old...he is still recovering from heart worm treatment. We are working on house training, crate and leash training just now. He should be ready for a new home end of January. He is a very loving boy, but will need a high wooden fence, and supervision. He likes to scope out the neighborhood otherwise. If anyone thinking about this boy has questions about the long term prospects for a young wirehair with heartworm, I'm happy to discuss with you (Mary knows my address). My Otto, now 13+, tested positive for heartworm when he found his way to the pound after getting lost or being dumped during hunting season. At 2, after treatment, he was fine and has had a long, happy life.
Copper is a beautiful GWH! He looks to be exactly what i am looking for....young, a hunter, and good buddy. I have an 8 year old Chocolate lab that is a great lady that loves other dogs. I have approximately 1.2 acres with an invisible fence for her to roam and get daily excercise. Any info on adoption would be appreciated.
